Rosita Extra Virgin Cod Liver Oil - Liquid

Provides natural nutrition you won't find in any other cod liver oil

Most commercial cod liver oils are a far cry from the natural nutrition found in this true superfood. In contrast, Rosita Extra Virgin Cod Liver Oil (EVCLO) bucks the industrial process and offers you good, wholesome nutrition at its raw finest* . . .

"(My)... analysis confirmed that the extra-virgin cod liver oil from Rosita Natural Foods contained all of nature's healing fatty acids (EPA and DHA) along with a host of naturally occurring micronutrients such as vitamin A and D. Even better, no environmental contaminants or synthetic counterfeits were discovered . . . This is the only company on earth that I know of, that's not butchering or adulterating their cod liver oil for the sake of profits or convenience. And it's the company I trust to preserve and promote health in my family."

Frequently asked questions

EVCLO is most unique in its production. 99% of all cod liver oil production is created using processes that severely damage the vitamins inherent in the oil, such as freezing, winterization, degumming, bleaching, and deodorizing. Because the fragile nutrients in the oil are destroyed during this time, most of the producers will then fortify it with synthetic vitamins and market the oil as natural.

Rosita is able to produce an oil without these harsh processes. Using an old Viking technique for extracting the liver oil without the use of heat, pressure or chemicals, Rosita is able to capture the nutrients in their raw and unadulterated state. Rosita itself is a company of integrity and they monitor the entire production process, from catching the fish to bottling the oil. They use only small, private fishing fleets and catch the cod by line to encourage sustainability of the fish and reduce by-catch. Only the species Gadus Morhua is used, which by many historical records is the most healing of all the cod. It is only caught in the pristine and clean fjords of Norway and is never frozen (in fact, the fish is used immediately and the oil is produced within 48 hours of catching the cod). The oil is produced in a facility specifically dedicated to creating fish oils so there is no worry of cross contamination. This entire process was well thought out; 2 years of research went into creating the perfect antioxidant package alone, and a packaging method that would ensure the oil stays fresh even as it travels from Norway to other parts of the world.

So while there are a multitude of cod liver oils on the market to choose from, there is only one cod liver oil that is made fresh and raw from wild- caught Atlantic cod. EVCLO is in its own special category. Discerning customers who understand the significance of a fresh cod liver oil on their health are passionate about EVCLO.

Rosita cod liver oil has been tested for persistent organic pollutants (POPs) including pesticides (such as DDT), industrial chemicals (such as polychlorinated biphenyls, PCBs) and unintentional by-products of industrial processes (such as dioxins and furans). They have also been tested for heavy metals and microbiological contamination. Rosita extra-virgin cod liver oil consistently meets or exceeds the safety standards set by the stringent European Commission and WHO rules on environmental pollutants. All of the testing results are posted on our website:

In terms of purity, Rosita is superior in another way as well. Most brands of fish oil – including many cod liver oils – are "purified" using a chemical extraction process at very high temperatures. A good portion of the omegas and naturally occurring antioxidants are destroyed or stripped out, so manufacturers add specific essential fatty acids, vitamins, and antioxidants back into the oil. Unfortunately, most of the time they use synthetic vitamins and include artificial ratios of things like DHA and EPA. Though they may seem natural, they're really not. Extra virgin cod liver oil contains only naturally occurring vitamins and fatty acids. Other than the addition of one drop of naturally derived vitamin E and rosemary oil per bottle to maintain freshness, Rosita's oil is not altered in any way.

The Vitamin E is organic, Kosher and sourced from non-GMO seeds. It is full spectrum vitamin E (not isolated Vitamin E) that contains all naturally occurring tocopherols: alpha, beta, gamma, delta. The Vitamin E is obtained via low temperature vacuum distillation without the use of toxic solvents.

It is free of all common allergens:

  • Gluten-free
  • GMO-free
  • Soy-free
  • Peanut-free
  • Tree-nut free
  • Corn-free
  • Wheat-free

A tiny drop of natural vitamin E and Rosemary herb are added to each bottle of EVCLO as an antioxidant to help maintain freshness. Each bottle is then nitrogen flushed and capped with no oxygen, allowing Rosita to ship without cold packs.

If you are worried about the Vitamin E source, you may be interested in trying the Rosita Ratfish Liver Oil. It is similar to the EVCLO in that it provides a full spectrum of fatty acids and nutrients. However, the ratfish actually produces and stores its own vitamin E, which then acts as a natural antioxidant in the oil. Only drops are needed at a time of this oil and it has a very light and palatable taste.

Excellent Cod Liver Oil

This is a very high quality cod liver oil, and I really feel the difference after having it. The taste gets some getting used to, but very much worth it.

I recommend this product 100%

I think this is probably the best cod liver oil in the market today. The quality is excellent.

Hi Arturo, Your recommendation means the world to us. Thank you! We're so happy to hear that you appreciate the quality of your Rosita Extra Virgin Cod Liver Oil. As the world's only fresh, wild caught, raw and truly unprocessed cod liver oil (from Norway!) there's truly nothing like it. We're honored to serve you, Arturo. And we wish you the best! Warm regards, The Corganic Team

tastes truly unadulterated

Super--love it, and reminded me of cod liver oil I tasted as a child. Getting my Vit D levels checked and hope this is a better way to get my Vit D than pills

Hi Mabel, Thank you so much for the kind words. We're happy to hear that you appreciate this unadulterated, fresh, wild and raw cod liver oil. Indeed, it tastes like fresh fish - and all of the vitamins A, D and omegas are naturally occurring. We definitely believe getting your vitamins from wholesome food sources is superior to getting them from synthetic sources - we believe you're on the right track! Wishing you the best, The Corganic Team

Lordy, it tastes awful. But put a spoonful of mustard in your mouth and swish it around. Gets rid of the taste.

Hi Cheryl, Thank you for the five star review : ) We do understand that you may not like the taste of your Rosita Extra Virgin Cod Liver Oil. Because it's fresh, wild caught and raw, it does taste like fresh fish! But like you said, the taste can dissipate quickly. Some people who are sensitive to the taste of fresh fish chase their dose with an orange slice or a drink of a smoothie. It also really helps to let your bottle sit on the counter for a couple of minutes and then to shake it before taking your dose. You can also try our softgels, if you want to avoid the taste all together... We appreciate your support and feedback - and wish you the best. Kind regards, The Corganic Team

importance of oils

I always use to a car, any engine needs oil! And in that sense, you can mentally grasp good oils vs bad oils.. Everyday our body needs a certain amount of nutrients, oils, etc to operate (efficiently) without heavy damage/wear and tear ....using cheap gas, cheap oil and not doing routine maintenance will make you look and feel sluggish! It's simple and experimentation..... Take care!...literally;)

Hi Dave, We absolutely love your point of view - and couldn't agree more! Indeed, Rosita Extra Virgin Cod Liver Oil is completely different and in a league of its own. It is the only raw, unadulterated oil - in the entire world - on the market today. We, too, urge people to do the research on how cod liver oil is processed (or in Rosita's case the lack thereof processing ; )) so they know exactly what they're putting into their "tanks." We thank you again for sharing with us - and we're so very happy that you're appreciating the fresh, wild caught and raw goodness in your Rosita Cod Liver Oil. Take care! : ) The Corganic Team
