Frequently asked questions

The oil is made using a unique centrifuge process which results in an extremely fresh tasting oil.  No heat is used in extraction. We achieve a low water content of 0.03% (the Asia Pacific Coconut Community standard is .5%), so our oil is not rancid and has a shelf life of 2 years, extremely fresh tasting. It is not only cold pressed, the whole process is below 113°F.  Our entire production process from cracking the coconut to the bottling of the oil takes less than 12 hours. We always finish every batch before closing in the evening, so our oil is very fresh, not long exposed to air. Before the oil even knows it is out of the meat, it is in the bottle.  It is also only made in small batches to preserve freshness.

The other method of producing raw coconut oil is the fermentation method.  This is akin to milk curdling after setting out, then scraping the oil off the top.  This method of "Raw" produces a sour/greasing tasting oil, and is the method that most of the competitors are using.

Virgin Coconut Oil is an extremely versatile and wonderfully delicious tasting oil. Good quality coconut oil is one of the most stable cooking oils, plus it's highly resistant to rancidity.

There are many ways to incorporate coconut oil into your diet. It could be used anywhere you currently use any of the "seed" oils (soybean, corn, canola, safflower, sesame seed, sunflower seed); used as a butter for spreads, over popcorn, or for baking; used in soups or 'smoothies'; eaten right off the spoon; eaten as a "candy" or "white chocolate" when refrigerated or frozen; put in coffee or tea; mixed with peanut butter; etc. Good quality coconut oil is also mild on the skin, and used in many areas around the world to both nourish and protect the skin and hair from, among other things, the harsh effect of the sun.

Coconut oil has natural anti-oxidants and acts as an anti-oxidant itself. Also, coconut oil is rich in medium chain fatty acids (MCFAs), which have natural anti-viral and anti-bacterial properties. Coconut oil contains Monolaurin, which is the same anti-microbial agent found in human mother's milk. Plus, Caprylic and Capric acids (medium chains), which are relatively and uniquely high in coconut oil, diminish the nutritional requirements for essential fatty acids (EFAs).

Great product; great service

Best coconut oil I have tasted/used!

Hi Martha, Thank you for your five-star review. We're so happy to hear that you're loving your Dua Dua Coconut Oil and finding it to be the best of the best! Dua Dua’s small batch, centrifuge process yields a truly raw coconut oil, which brings its freshness and cool, crisp taste high above the rest :) On the other hand, most commercial coconut oil producers use a dry process, where shredded coconut meat is placed in a high-heat desiccating dryer and then squeezed in a press - often yielding a waxy oil with a slightly toasty taste. There are only a few coconut oil producers in the world who employ the precious centrifuging process. This is why Dua Dua is our favorite, too :) Thanks again, Martha. Enjoy your fresh coconut oil!

Absolutely the Best

I am a raw organic coconut oil conoseur! Purchased yesterday, this by far has been my absolute favorite in all these years. It just comes of as clean and heavenly on the palate. Some coconut oils are difficult to take down straight from the teaspoon. Yours has been a pleasure, I look forward to my daily dose! Thank you guys sincerely for doing such a wonderful job!

Hello Ali! Thank you for the kind words. We couldn't agree more that Dua Dua Coconut Oil is a spoonful of a dream :) How cool to have your perspective after trying so many other brands throughout the years. As you know, what sets Dua Dua apart is its rare centrifuging process. This way retains its freshness - and yields a raw coconut oil that’s practically the same as it exists in fresh coconut meat. To put this in perspective, most commercial coconut oil producers use a “dry process,” where shredded coconut meat is placed in a high-heat desiccating dryer and then squeezed in a press - often yielding a waxy oil with a slightly toasty taste. There are only a few coconut oil producers in the world who employ the precious centrifuging process. For Dua Dua, the entire process from cracking the coconut to the bottling of the oil takes less than 12 hours. This is all reflective in its heavenly taste, which you can eat right out of the bottle :) (Here's more info about Dua Dua ) Ali, thank you for your support. We are honored to serve you with truly special products like Dua Dua. Enjoy! Warm regards, The Corganic Team

DUA Coconut

So nice and fresh! Will continue to buy. Yup, I'm a normal unrelated customer.

Hi Frank :) Thanks for sharing your feedback. We're really happy to hear that you're enjoying the freshness of your Dua Dua! As we discussed in our email, the process from cracking open the coconut to bottling the precious oil takes less than 12 hours :) This care is evident when you crack open your glass bottle ... It smells like fresh air, sunlight and gently sweet coconuts. It’s light yet luxurious - and it tastes cool and creamy. Frank, we appreciate your support. Enjoy your Dua Dua! Warm regards, The Corganic Team

Well worth it: truly a better coconut oil

I was a little skeptical of trying out this coconut oil; I had already tried many oils and had settled on artisana's "raw" organic cold pressed oil. I was pleasantly impressed with the duadua coconut oil. It smells very nice in a way I didn't expect and haven't smelled before in coconut oil, hard to describe but I would say fresh and sweet, whereas my existing choice has more of a "coconut" aroma but in comparison smells slightly toasted. Makes me not even want to bother finishing what I had before. The one I'm using is probably expeller pressed whereas duadua is using a newer centrifuge process. They also claim a short time to get in the bottle. Whatever they're doing it produces a better result, and I'm converted and addicted.

Hi Benjamin, Thanks so much for sharing your experience with the Dua Dua Coconut Oil! You hit the nail on the head as far as its sweet smell and delightful taste. Nothing beats the rare centrifuging process Dua Dua uses for freshness. It's such a delicious and healthy "addiction" for us, too! Thanks again and take care : )

The Best!!

There is nothing compared to this--it is great. Spreads nicely. Not too hard right out of the jar. Great to spread on toast and top with avocado.

Hi Kimberly, Wow! You've just given us inspiration for another simple recipe with Dua Dua. Thanks : ) We're so happy you're enjoying your coconut oil, and we really appreciate your business. Thanks again! The Corganic Team
