GutPro® Probiotic Powder - by Organic 3, Inc.

Why did the folks at Organic 3 create GutPro® powder?

Because they heard from people with extremely sensitive digestive systems who weren’t able to tolerate other probiotics on the market — and they wanted to provide exactly what they needed:

Pure, potent and therapeutic-grade, GutPro® is 100% probiotic powder,
with eight clinically-proven strains of beneficial bacteria.

Most importantly, GutPro® is formulated for your comfort. The premium strains are carefully calibrated to help digestion and minimize the potential issues associated with other commercial brands. That means omitting certain strains that can cause histamine intolerance, d-lactic acidosis and other reactions.

You also won’t find common allergens, additives or fillers in GutPro®.

Don’t forget to add our mini spoon set, which comes with a handy dosage chart and allows you to measure the amount that’s right for you.

How do the new spoons compare to your former spoons?

These spoons are designed to take the guesswork out of your dosing. The former “Drop” spoon is now spoon 2. The former “Smidgen” spoon is now spoon 3. There’s no equivalent for the new spoon 1, as it’s a new, smaller size that’s designed to be a starting point when taking Organic 3 powder supplements.

Ingredients

GutPro® contains only the highest-quality probiotic bacteria. All strains have been thoroughly researched, documented and banked in recognized microbial culture collections. Further, all strains are non-GMO and American Type Culture Collection certified.

Below is a list of ingredients in GutPro®, and information on why we’ve included them:

L. gasseri: Lactobacillus gasseri is a strain of the genus Lactobacillus, a family of bacteria naturally found human digestive and urinary tracts. L. gasseri is thought to suppress harmful bacteria, in turn, aiding digestion. Preliminary research indicates that L. gasseri may inhibit inflammation signaling at the genetic level.*

L. salivarius: Lactobacillus salivarius is one of the most prevalent probiotic species in human saliva. It produces organic acids, such as lactic acid and acetic acid from carbohydrates, which can inhibit the growth of surrounding microorganisms, and produce hydrogen peroxide and other antimicrobial substances. L. salivarius seems to help keep the microbial population in your mouth healthy.* In addition, several clinical trials on both adults and children indicate that L. salivarius seems to help regulate the immune system and, as a result, support healthy skin.*

B. bifidum: Bifidobacteria are a group of good bacteria that normally live in the human intestines and stomach. They help the body perform essential functions like digestion and the maintenance of beneficial bacteria. A randomized placebo-controlled study showed that B. bifidum can help with stress-related diarrhea.* And a clinical study showed that B. bifidum helped academically stressed college students make it through the winter semester with much fewer absences due to cold and flu than the students who didn't take the probiotic.* Additionally, clinical research suggests that B. bifidum can help maintain comfortable joint movement by helping the body manage inflammation.*

B. breve: Bifidobacterium breve is one of the most helpful probiotic bacteria in the human body due to its unique in its ability to compete with harmful bacteria by digesting a large variety of molecules. It also comprises the majority of bacteria in the colons of breastfed babies. In a few clinical trials involving pre-term babies, B. breve has been shown to work especially well in establishing a healthy colony of bacteria in the gut.*

B. infantis: Bifidobacterium infantis is a type of beneficial lactic acid bacteria naturally found in the human mouth and gastrointestinal tract; and it helps maintain a healthy digestive tract. Regarding potential antidepressant properties, research suggests B. infantis regulates the production of tryptophan, which is the precursor for serotonin (serotonin is the neurotransmitter associated with a sense of satisfaction and happiness).*

B. Longum: Bifidobacterium longum is a species of microscopic, non-pathogenic bacteria found naturally in the gastrointestinal tracts of humans. It produces lactic acid from the fermentation of sugar in the gut and is one of the first bacteria to colonize our bodies at birth. B. longum has been associated with helping to digest milk and other challenging foods.*

B. lactis: Bifidobacterium lactis is an effective transient probiotic bacteria that inhabits the human intestines and the colon in great numbers. Generally, its function is to break down body waste and aid in the absorption of various vitamins and minerals. B. lactis shows exciting promise in lab research to interfere with the body's reaction to certain toxins from wheat.*

L. plantarum: Lactobacillus plantarum is a plant-based, beneficial probiotic strain that’s naturally found in fermented foods like sauerkraut. No less than four clinical trials have shown that L. plantarum helps support comfortable digestion, helping to minimize gas, bloating, and abdominal pain.* And L. plantarum seems to help regulate the immune response, reducing inflammation in the body.* Moreover preliminary studies indicate that L. plantarum may help strengthen memory, concentration and mood.*

Shipping Info

We ship Monday through Wednesday, using two day premium shipping services that includes tracking.

Organic 3 probiotics are freeze-dried, so they hold up well to warm temperatures.

When temperatures exceed 75°F, we recommend our optional Cold Pack Shipper, which adds one or more ice packs (depending on the size of the order) and insulated packaging. These ice packs are not designed to stay cold during the entire shipment process, but do provide adequate protection. The ice packs may arrive warm, or even hot. This is normal and expected, but does not reduce the potency. Our Cold Pack Shipper also works well for our other products that are kept in cold storage.

If the temperature is above 95°F in your area at the time of ordering, we recommend shipping the probiotic with our optional Dry Ice Shipper. This will provide significant protection from excessive heat.

Please note: We cannot ship dry ice to a P.O. box.

We take pride in making sure your orders are handled with the utmost care, and arrive to you in a timely manner.

Storage/Dosage

Storage:

GutPro® powder requires refrigeration for long-term storage. Keep away from moisture. Can be kept at room temperature for up to two weeks while traveling.

Dosage:

Begin with spoon 1. Increase or decrease over time, as needed (see “low and slow” note below).

Start low and slow: The digestive health supplements we carry are premium, pure and potent. Therefore, it’s critically important to start slowly, with a lower dosage than recommended. For example, a minimal dose every other day, or even once a week, until you can determine how the supplement affects your body and what feels right for you.

How to take: Use our mini spoon set to accurately measure your desired dose of probiotic powder. Sprinkle on lukewarm or cold food, mix it in a smoothie or take it with an organic fat, like butter, ghee, emu oil or coconut oil. See dosage instructions above for more info.

Frequently asked questions

GutPro® powder is free of common allergens. All strains are grown on a dairy-free, soy-free, vegetarian, non-GMO culture. GutPro® does not contain milk/casein, eggs, fish, shellfish, wheat/gluten, peanuts, tree nuts, yeast, corn or soy.

GutPro® is comprised of freeze-dried bacteria. Old school probiotics contained live cultures that died in transit due to warm temperatures. Freeze-dried bacteria are able to withstand warmer temperatures during transit.

Yes! First, please know that Organic 3 probiotics contain hearty freeze-dried bacteria (organisms), versus live cultures. Unlike live cultures, which can be quickly destroyed in transit by heat, freeze-dried bacteria will slowly decline in higher temperatures — without the addition of an ice pack or dry ice.

While Organic 3 probiotics definitely hold up well in warm weather, we still recommend cold packs or dry ice in higher temperatures. (Please note that the cold pack is automatically added to your cart with any probiotic purchase, and can be manually removed if you opt not to order it).

These ice packs are not designed to stay cold during the entire shipment process. Rather, they’re designed to protect the potency of the probiotic. Sometimes, the cold pack may arrive warm or hot. Rest assured, this has no impact on your probiotics. It’s completely normal and to be expected.

All of this information is based on rigorous independent laboratory testing, after shipping Organic 3 probiotics in various temperatures.

GutPro® powder does not contain a prebiotic or any other fillers. Most commercial probiotics are up to 80% prebiotics. This is notable because adding prebiotics reduces the potency of a probiotic supplement and therefore, reduces the cost per bottle. However, the cost per serving of GutPro® is actually cheaper than premium probiotics that contain prebiotics, as one bottle of GutPro® powder contains more CFUs (colony-forming units) than eight bottles of your average "premium" probiotic powders. In addition, the probiotic strains in this pure powder formula are scientifically proven and specifically formulated to support digestion and minimize negative reactions.*

The digestive probiotics in GutPro® powder work best in conjunction with a wholesome, real food diet. Think healthy fats, wild-caught fish, grass-fed meat, organic vegetables; and the elimination of GMOs, additives, preservatives, chemicals and processed sugar/flour.

There are no prebiotics in GutPro®. This is because prebiotics like inulin and maltodextrin are often included in other commercial brands as fillers, yet can feed pathogens and cause negative reactions in people with sensitive digestive systems.

Great product with results to prove it

Have been using Gut Pro probiotic for about 6 years now. As a result I no longer experience any of the numerous food sensitivities (indigestion) that have plagued me for so long. As an added bonus, it keeps the seasonal colds at bay (for me and the entire family). This (along with improved diet) has changed my life I cannot recommend it enough!
