Storage/Dosage

Storage:

Refrigerate after opening. Once opened, consume within three months (may become thick and cloudy when cold). Unopened bottles can be stored in the freezer for up to two years.

Dosage:

ADULTS: 1 teaspoon daily or as needed, with food.

CHILDREN and SENSITIVE INDIVIDUALS: Begin by taking 1⁄8 to 1⁄4 teaspoon with food and increase if needed.

INFANTS: 2-3 drops daily as needed. Drops may be administered by spoon or by dropper prior to feeding.

Pregnant and nursing mothers: Do not exceed more than 1⁄4 teaspoon daily. Take as needed. Best taken with food.

Rosita EVCLO is most unique in its production. 99% of all cod liver oil production is created using processes that severely damage the vitamins inherent in the oil, such as freezing, winterization, degumming, bleaching, and deodorizing. Because the fragile nutrients in the oil are destroyed during this time, most of the producers will then fortify it with synthetic vitamins and market the oil as natural.

Rosita is able to produce an oil without these harsh processes. Using an old Viking technique for extracting the liver oil without the use of heat, pressure or chemicals, Rosita is able to capture the nutrients in their raw and unadulterated state. Rosita itself is a company of integrity and they monitor the entire production process, from catching the fish to bottling the oil. They use only small, private fishing fleets and catch the cod by line to encourage sustainability of the fish and reduce by-catch. Only the species Gadus Morhua is used, which by many historical records is the most healing of all the cod. It is only caught in the pristine and clean fjords of Norway and is never frozen (in fact, the fish is used immediately and the oil is produced within 48 hours of catching the cod). The oil is produced in a facility specifically dedicated to creating fish oils so there is no worry of cross contamination. This entire process was well thought out; 2 years of research went into creating the perfect antioxidant package alone, and a packaging method that would ensure the oil stays fresh even as it travels from Norway to other parts of the world.

So while there are a multitude of cod liver oils on the market to choose from, there is only one cod liver oil that is made fresh and raw from wild- caught Atlantic cod. Rosita cod liver oil has been tested for persistent organic pollutants (POPs) including pesticides (such as DDT), industrial chemicals (such as polychlorinated biphenyls, PCBs) and unintentional by-products of industrial processes (such as dioxins and furans). They have also been tested for heavy metals and microbiological contamination. Rosita extra-virgin cod liver oil consistently meets or exceeds the safety standards set by the stringent European Commission and WHO rules on environmental pollutants. In terms of purity, Rosita is superior in another way as well. Most brands of fish oil – including many cod liver oils – are "purified" using a chemical extraction process at very high temperatures. A good portion of the omegas and naturally occurring antioxidants are destroyed or stripped out, so manufacturers add specific essential fatty acids, vitamins, and antioxidants back into the oil. Unfortunately, most of the time they use synthetic vitamins and include artificial ratios of things like DHA and EPA. Though they may seem natural, they're really not. Extra virgin cod liver oil contains only naturally occurring vitamins and fatty acids. Other than the addition of one drop of naturally derived vitamin E and rosemary oil per bottle to maintain freshness, Rosita's oil is not altered in any way.

The Vitamin E is organic, Kosher and sourced from non-GMO seeds. It is full spectrum vitamin E (not isolated Vitamin E) that contains all naturally occurring tocopherols: alpha, beta, gamma, delta. The Vitamin E is obtained via low temperature vacuum distillation without the use of toxic solvents.

If you are worried about the Vitamin E source, you may be interested in trying the Rosita Ratfish Liver Oil. It is similar to the EVCLO in that it provides a full spectrum of fatty acids and nutrients. However, the ratfish actually produces and stores its own vitamin E, which then acts as a natural antioxidant in the oil. Only drops are needed at a time of this oil and it has a very light and palatable taste.

Gets better with time!

Amazing quality product, was referred to this product by many people. I was shocked at how much easier it was to take it after about a week of daily use so do yourself a favor and hang in there! I would take a teaspoon of the CLO and then a teaspoon of lemon juice and after 2 weeks didn’t even need to chase it with the lemon juice. After a week the unpleasant burps stopped too! Just ordered the capsules for when I am in the road.

Rosita Cod Liver Oil is the best

We follow the protocol from Ramiel Nagel's book: Cure Tooth Decay with the exception of Rosita liquid instead of Green Pasture liquid. We switched from Rosita's competitor a few years ago when it stopped helping us and we began to get sick from it. With the first bottle of Rosita Cod Liver Oil we could feel the change for the better, and we have had positive responses since. We highly recommend it whether you're considering healing tooth decay, keratosis pilaris, eczema, or other fat soluble vitamin deficiency. It's not a cure all, and won't fix things without other dietary and lifestyle changes, but it can be a big component in healing.
