GutPro® Infant Probiotic Powder - by Organic 3, Inc.

GutPro® Infant is a gentle, yet potent custom probiotic created especially for your baby's developing digestive system.

This pure powder contains seven clinically-proven probiotic strains that are naturally found in healthy infants. And it’s designed to help colonize little intestines with beneficial bacteria from the get go.

Bifidobacterium infantis — a notable strain that dominates in breastfed babies' intestines — comprises 50% of GutPro® Infant, as studies show it supports healthy digestion, growth and immunity in infants (see our ingredients section for more).*

Just as important, GutPro® Infant does not contain certain strains (or prebiotics) found in other commercial brands that can cause histamine intolerance, d-lactic acidosis or other adverse reactions.

You also won’t find common allergens, additives or fillers.

Don’t forget to add our mini spoon set, which comes with a handy dosage chart and allows you to measure the amount that’s right for you.

How do the new spoons compare to your former spoons?

These spoons are designed to take the guesswork out of your dosing. The former “Drop” spoon is now spoon 2. The former “Smidgen” spoon is now spoon 3. There’s no equivalent for the new spoon 1, as it’s a new, smaller size that’s designed to be a starting point when taking Organic 3 powder supplements.

Spoon 1 None 3+ billion
Spoon 2 Drop 6+ billion
Spoon 3 Smidgen 12+ billion

GutPro® Infant contains only the highest-quality probiotic bacteria. All strains have been thoroughly researched, documented and banked in recognized microbial culture collections. Further, all strains are non-GMO and American Type Culture Collection certified.

Below is a list of ingredients in GutPro® Infant, and information on why we’ve included them:

B. infantis: Bifidobacterium infantis is prevalent in the gastrointestinal tracts of breastfed babies, as it feeds on unique oligosaccharides found in breast milk that babies cannot digest — leaving little room for unwanted bacteria and supporting a healthy digestive ecosystem.* In a recent study, moms and infants received a B. infantis preparation and lactation support from a week to three weeks after birth. The bacteria quickly established themselves in the babies, crowding out other gut bacteria that are associated with intestinal problems and immune-related diseases such as asthma, allergy and autoimmune disease.* Meanwhile, another study discovered that nearly all babies born in developed nations (including the U.S.) no longer have B. infantis. It was hypothesized that an increase in c-sections, infant formula and antibiotics led to the reduction in this beneficial bacteria. This study stated that a stressed microbiome composition may lead to chronic inflammation and immune-mediated diseases, highlighting an increase in infant intestinal dysbiosis. The good news, according to research noted in the same study, is that remodeling of the gut microbiome in breastfed infants fed B. infantis improved gut function and ecosystem productivity.* B. Infantis (as well as several other strains in the Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium families) also produces folate, which is necessary for infant development and growth and the creation of red blood cells.*

B. bifidum: In one study, Bifidobacterium bifidum was the second most common bacteria in infants' guts (B. infantis was first). B. bifidum seems to support the immune system and help the digestive system stay on track: A clinical study showed that B. bifidum helped academically stressed college students make it through the winter semester with fewer absences and less colds than the students who didn't take the probiotic.* Another clinical study indicates B. bifidum may help with abdominal discomfort, gas and bloating.* And a randomized placebo-controlled study also showed that B. bifidum may help with stress-related diarrhea.*

B. breve: Found in human breast milk, Bifidobacterium breve can also digest human milk oligosaccharides (but not as thoroughly as B. infantis). It's considered one of the first colonizers of the human intestinal tract. A few clinical trials involving preterm babies indicated that B. breve works well in helping to establish a healthy gut ecology.* In one of these studies, researchers concluded that B. breve also seems to help these tiny babies gain weight.* And, clinical research has demonstrated that when combined with a gluten-free diet, B. breve can help restore microbial balance in the digestive tract of children who have experienced some intestinal inflammation.* Additionally, B. breve has been linked to helping with childhood constipation.* As children grow older and face health challenges, B. breve continues to bring strategic support: clinical research suggests this special bacterium is particularly effective in recolonizing the gut of children who have undergone chemotherapy.* The children who took this probiotic seemed to recover better from the treatment without any complications that are usually associated with chemotherapy.*

B. longum: One of the first bacteria to colonize our bodies at birth, Bifidobacterium longum has been associated with helping to digest milk and other challenging foods.* A placebo-controlled clinical study on 33 children with some digestive discomfort showed that in combination with a gluten-free diet, B. longum not only helped them grow taller, but also showed some indications of keeping their immune system strong and balanced.*

B. lactis: Bifidobacterium lactis is also powerful probiotic bacteria found in the digestive tract of humans. In one eye-opening study, when preterm babies were given B. lactis after taking antibiotics, they gained four times as much weight as the babies given the placebo.* In the same study, researchers observed signs that B. lactis helped the babies' immune systems develop effectively.* In addition, a meta-analysis of five studies revealed the role of B. lactis in supporting healthy weight gain may be particularly effective in the most vulnerable babies, as it seemed to help babies born to HIV positive moms gain much more weight per day than their counterparts who were not supplementing with a probiotic.* Finally, and significantly, preliminary lab research indicates B. lactis shows exciting promise in neutralizing certain toxins from wheat.*

L. gasseri: Lactobacillus gasseri is a normal inhabitant of the lower reproductive tract in healthy women. A clinical trial on children showed that this bacterium seemed to help regulate the immune system, as children who took L. gasseri showed an increase in regulatory T cell counts and a decrease in immunoglobulin E.* Preliminary research on mice indicates that L. gasseri may inhibit inflammation signaling at the genetic level.*

L. salivarius: Lactobacillus salivarius is a probiotic bacteria species that has been found to live in the gastrointestinal tract and exert a range of therapeutic properties including suppression of pathogenic bacteria.* Several clinical trials on both adults and children indicate that Lactobacillus salivarius seems to help regulate the immune system and, as a result, supports healthy skin.* L. salivarius also seems to play a distinct role in keeping the microbial population in the mouth healthy.*

Shipping Info

We ship Monday through Wednesday, using two day premium shipping services that includes tracking.

Organic 3 probiotics are freeze-dried, so they hold up well to warm temperatures.

When temperatures exceed 75°F, we recommend our optional Cold Pack Shipper, which adds one or more ice packs (depending on the size of the order) and insulated packaging. These ice packs are not designed to stay cold during the entire shipment process, but do provide adequate protection. The ice packs may arrive warm, or even hot. This is normal and expected, but does not reduce the potency. Our Cold Pack Shipper also works well for our other products that are kept in cold storage.

If the temperature is above 95°F in your area at the time of ordering, we recommend shipping the probiotic with our optional Dry Ice Shipper. This will provide significant protection from excessive heat.

Please note: We cannot ship dry ice to a P.O. box.

We take pride in making sure your orders are handled with the utmost care, and arrive to you in a timely manner.

GutPro® Infant probiotic powder requires refrigeration for long-term storage. Keep away from moisture. Can be kept at room temperature for up to two weeks while traveling.

Begin with spoon 1. Increase or decrease over time, as needed (see “low and slow” note below).

Start low and slow: The digestive health supplements we carry are premium, pure and potent. Therefore, it’s critically important to start slowly, with a lower dosage than recommended. For example, a minimal dose every other day, or even once a week, until you can determine how the supplement affects your body and what feels right for you.

How to take: Use our mini spoon set to accurately measure your desired dose of probiotic powder. You can sprinkle GutPro® Infant on lukewarm or cold food. Or it can be mixed in breastmilk, formula, a smoothie or organic milk of choice. For toddlers and older children, GutPro® Infant can also be taken with an organic fat, like butter, ghee, emu oil or coconut oil. See dosage instructions above for more info.

Frequently asked questions

GutPro® Infant does not contain certain strains found in other probiotics that can cause histamine intolerance, d-lactic acidosis or other adverse reactions. This means no strains that produce d-lactate, no streptococcus thermophilus, no spore-forming strains; and only histamine-neutral and histamine degrading strains. It also does not contain prebiotics.

L. plantarum is omitted in GutPro® Infant because L. plantarum is a very potent strain that increases the potency of the formula. Because the folks at Organic 3 wanted the infant formula to be less potent than the original GutPro® powder, they did not include it. Customers with worries about d-lactate production may also prefer the omission of L. plantarum as it does produce a small amount of d-lactate. However, it’s important to remember that it helps balance the production of L-lactate. For more information about D-lactate free probiotics, click here.

There are no prebiotics in GutPro® Infant. This is because prebiotics like inulin and maltodextrin are often included in other commercial brands as fillers, yet can feed pathogens and cause negative reactions in people with sensitive digestive systems. Breast milk already has its own unique prebiotics. And prebiotics have been added to infant formulas with beneficial effects. But bottom line, Organic 3 wants parents to be able to carefully develop their children's diets according to their unique situations.

Yes! GutPro® Infant does not contain common additives, allergens or fillers. This means no excipients or other added ingredients, such as magnesium stearate, silica, titanium dioxide.

GutPro® Infant is free of common allergens. All strains are grown on a dairy-free, soy-free, vegetarian, non-GMO culture. GutPro® Infant does not contain milk/casein, eggs, fish, shellfish, wheat/gluten, peanuts, tree nuts, yeast, corn or soy.

GutPro® Infant is comprised of freeze-dried bacteria. Old school probiotics contained live cultures that died in transit due to warm temperatures. Freeze-dried bacteria can withstand warmer temperatures during transit.

The digestive probiotics in GutPro® powder work best in conjunction with a wholesome, real food diet for mother and children. Think healthy fats, organic or raw milk, wild-caught fish, grass-fed meat, organic vegetables; and the elimination of GMOs, additives, preservatives, chemicals and processed sugar/flour.

Note: Please consult with a qualified healthcare practitioner as to whether a probiotic is appropriate for your baby and when to start a regimen.

Magic fairy dust!

This product does everything it says it will do. Other probiotics had caused my infant discomfort, but this one didn’t at all. We increased her dose gradually as suggested and in just a couple of weeks, her tummy troubles are gone. I’m a believer and have now ordered gut pro for myself!

Helped so much with gas pains/ reflux

We started this probiotic when my baby was about a month old. She was having terrible gas pains and spitting up a lot of breastmilk after each feeding. She would wake up in the middle of the night screaming with gas pain and had to be rocked back to sleep multiple times a night. We have been using this probiotic for a little over a month and are SO happy we found it. Baby still gets a little gas but significantly improved from what he was having, the spitting up has decreased immensely too. We still use just a small amount every other day. It is the only probiotic I could find that wasn't mixed with additives or preservatives. I was nervous to get a powder but it is such a small amount needed I just wet my ****** with breastmilk and put the powder directly on the ******. It is more pricey than other probiotics but we use such small amounts this will last well over 6 months -1 year (& you can't beat the ingredients!) . Cannot say enough good things and we will continue to use this product for this baby and any future babies!

Hello Michelle, Thank you so much for sharing your experience with GutPro Infant by Organic 3. What absolutely wonderful news that it has helped support your little one so immensely. It sounds like you were going through a really difficult, painful time with little rest. That is tough. We're glad you found the product to help turn things around with her developing digestive system so fast. Indeed, GutPro Infant's pure probiotic formula with calibrated strains and 50% bifidobacterium infantis, which is found in human breast milk, only requires a small amount for baby and is very effective for the symptoms your daughter was experiencing. The way you're administering it is great, too! And right on about the price and a little going a long way. Thank you for appreciating the quality ingredients and how long they will last you. Michelle, we're honored to serve you and your baby during this precious time. Helping new mums and sweet babies brings us such joy! We appreciate your support and wish you both the very best :) Warm regards, The Corganic Team

Prevent or Cured Sons Milk Protein/Corn Intolerance.

My third son was born on Oct 29, 2019 and I wanted to wait a full 3mths before posting a review. (I hope I don’t jinx it!!) My first two sons had a milk protein/corn intolerance and the first 8mths of their life was very difficult. We saw GI specialist and I had to stop breastfeeding and put them on a prescription amino acid formula because their intolerance was so bad. When I got pregnant with my 3rd, I knew I had to do something to try and prevent this GI issue with him. I took billions of probiotics and ate all the fermented food I could while pregnant. When my 3rd son was two weeks old he started showing symptoms of the intolerance and also showing signs of acid reflux and just started to become fussy. I knew at that moment that he sure enough had the intolerance. My first two sons took a probiotic but it wasn’t until I found this brand while researching, that I realized the probiotics I gave them beforehand had corn oil in it! I bought this probiotic once my 3rd son started showing symptoms and within a week he was a different baby. He was sleeping 5-6hrs straight and I was in shock. My other two sons only slept like an hour straight until 6-7mths. He is so happy all the time and his stools look way healthier. Also, I saw someone had commented that this probiotic had helped their child not develop a fever after vaccinations. My boys always had a fever after shots, so I was curious to see what happened after my 3rd son got his two mth shots and sure enough NO FEVER! This probiotic is seriously legit. My family and I will never go without it. Everything starts in the gut and this probiotic definitely makes sure it’s a healthy one!

Hello Ryan, Thank you for sharing your experience with GutPro Infant by Organic 3 - and congrats on your new baby! It sounds like you have been through so much with your babes' milk/protein/corn intolerance. We hear of this a lot from our customers; you are not alone. How wonderful that you have a toolbox now to ease this sensitivity in your little ones, with the GutPro Infant and enjoying the fermented foods and probiotics while pregnant :) Good on you for doing the research and finding out what works best for you and your children :) Ryan, it's such great news to hear that within just a week the GutPro Infant helped ease your baby's digestion and sensitivities so he could sleep better; and that he has healthy bowel movements and a happy mood :) This is because of your hard work and advocacy! We're also glad to hear that the GutPro Infant has helped support your son following his vaccinations. We're honored to serve you and your family, Ryan. We're happy that GutPro Infant has become a mainstay for you all, to support you on your healthy journeys and get your kiddos digestion started on the right track :) Warmly, The Corganic Team

Gave baby bad gas

We started giving this to our son when he was a month old, and noticed that he started having terrible gas. We stopped using it and he seems to be doing much better. I had heard great things about this product, perhaps just didn’t agree with him!

Hello Rachelle, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with GutPro Infant by Organic 3. We are really sorry to hear that your baby boy has experienced this side effect. As to the dosage... we always tell our customers to start low and slow, especially with the babies: The supplements we carry are premium, pure and potent. Therefore, it’s critically important to start slowly, with a lower dosage than recommended. For example, a very small dose every other day, or even once a week, until you can determine how the supplement affects your body and what dose feels right for you. Many of our customers will start with just a pencil point amount of powder. Substantially lowering your baby's dose may help. We hope this information helps, Rachelle. You are also welcome to reach out to our customer service department at or 1-800-524-8802, where we can have a reciprocal exchange. Our customer service team can give you more tips and information on how to have success with your GutPro Infant, including info about diet and how other supplements may interact. Thank you again and we wish you and your family all the best :) Warm regards, The Corganic Team

Bottle half-filled?

Just got my long-awaited bottle of Infant GutPro. I’m so surprised the bottle is only half-filled? Is this normal? For the price I definitely expected more product. Is there somewhere that advertises a half-filled bottle that I missed? Thanks for the help!

Hi Alicia, Thank you for your inquiry. We sincerely apologize for the delay in responding. Please know your needs and customer experience are important to us - and we want you to have the very best! (We saw this comment on our other channels and also wanted to respond here, to make sure you receive our reply.) To answer your question, your bottle of GutPro Infant does look like it’s not completely full. This is because Organic 3 has recently changed the amount of product the retail customer receives from 30 grams to 15 grams of powder, but kept the same bottle size (as the bottle size is already pretty tiny). We at Corganic also lowered the price from $100 to $74.95 when this adjustment to the amount of powder was made. The reason for the change in the amount of powder you receive is based on customer request, as people weren’t getting through the bottle in time for the expiration date, due to the potency of the product (and hence the smaller doses). Some of our customers had issues with moisture getting into their bottles, as they had to open and close it so many times to go through the entire bottle with their tiny servings. This way ensures the utmost freshness of the product and less wasted servings. And as to the price, it had to be adjusted to account for inflation, as Organic 3 hadn’t adjusted their prices in a decade. We work closely with Organic 3; they’re a fantastic company that truly cares about the people they serve. The material costs for Organic 3 probiotics have also gone up. And Organic 3 is not willing to compromise the quality of its product (in other words, they won’t cheapen the ingredients just to keep the price the same). Please note, the formulation is the exact same, so you’re still getting your gentle, yet potent custom probiotic created especially for your baby's developing digestive system. Alicia, we hope this information helps. Feel free to reach out to us if you have further questions. We are here to ensure you have all of the information you need to have success with your probiotics. Thank you for your support. We wish you and your family the very best on your healthy journeys. :)
