Tallow is another fantastic form of animal fat that's gaining traction for its healthy, nourishing properties.* Specifically, tallow is rendered suet, which is the fat that surrounds the organs of the buffalo, typically the kidneys. It's solid, golden in color and can be melted down to meet your foodie needs.  

Fatworks Buffalo Tallow is rendered from organic, grass fed buffalo - producing a rich, deep yellow fat. It’s even been coined “Thunderfat” because it’s sourced from the great American Bison!

Frequently asked questions

Both are incredible fats for sauteing, frying and baking pies.  Compared to beef tallow, buffalo tallow is a more "neutral" tasting fat.  If you are trying to get the benefits of traditional beef tallow but just can't "get into" the taste, our buffalo tallow may be just what you need.

Tallow will last repeated frying without oxidizing, or going rancid, like vegetable oils.  

It's called the Thunderfat because it is sourced from the great American Bison, the Thunderbeast!
